The Estate
The Old Schoolhouse
The classrooms are long gone — today this is where people cook, feast and celebrate.
Children once learned their sums in the schoolhouse of Breithülen; today it is the house of the smaller, finer celebrations. Two hundred and forty square metres, brick and timber — and at its centre a show kitchen that turns a dinner into an occasion.
Sixty guests sit at one long table here; a hundred stand at a reception between kitchen and fireplace. The schoolhouse is the right place for the welcome evening before the wedding, for the brunch after, for a family celebration that doesn’t need a hall — just a house.
When the chef works the pass and the scent drifts through the room, you understand the principle of this place: closeness is the real luxury.
