The Estate

The Paddocks

The estate's oldest residents graze just beyond the fence.

A stud farm without horses would be just a monument. Which is why they still graze here, just beyond the fence — the calmest guests at any celebration, and the only ones determined not to be impressed by the fireworks.

For couples, the paddocks are where the quiet minutes live: after the ceremony, when everyone wants to congratulate and you first need to breathe. A fence, a horse ambling over out of curiosity, the deep light of late afternoon — that photograph needs nothing more, and it is the one that ends up framed.

Children feed, city guests marvel, and at some point the groom leans on the fence as if he had never done anything else.
